Know it, live it, love it

I open this Article with a Tweet I posted sometime ago “you cannot spend all your life searching for your purpose, there is a time to live your purpose and that time is now” Seems simple right, it’s the toughest thing you can do, find your purpose and live it.

My belief is that they are three (3) kinds of people;
1. Those born knowing their purpose
2. Those who can join the dots and find their purpose
3. Those who struggle to identify and find their purpose.

A limited number of people can truly say that they know what their purpose is, they were born knowing it and grew up know it. I fortunately am one of those few but I never lived in my purpose because when I was in Grade school a teacher whispered, well he shouted it from the top of his voice and said ” Isaac you monkey, you will never amount to anything. You will be lucky to finish grade school and if you do you will be fortunate to get a job as a garbage collector” Imagine, a kid who had confidence problems being told he would be nothing, I was crushed. It did not help that I was bullied in school so to add to the bullies arsenal of attacks, my teacher unleashed a nightmare that would haunt me for years. They are those of this elite group who had no issues walking and living their calling. I remember there was a kid in my class who said his purpose in life was to teach and teach he could. He was the kid who could stand in front of class and deliver a presentation like he had been paid, he was awesome and that is what he grew up to be, a professor in Africa.

The first group as I said is there, rare but you will find it. It is not to say that this group has no challenges, no. I am living, breathing and walking testimony that you may be born knowing and grew up knowing but until you live what you know it does not count for much. They are struggles in every group but the bottom line is there is such a group out there so we recognize them.

The second group has a large following. Those are the folks who in the course of life get a “light bulb moment”, everything lines up and they can look back and say that they have finally got it, this is what they have to do in life. Captain Sanders, at 65yrs of age in a period of depression finally gets his light bulb moment, the franchise model. Steve Jobs, Walt Disney and Oprah, all were able to gather themselves after a number of failed attempts or tragedy and they figured it out. They had to dig in and find what they were born to do, sometimes you have to be uncomfortable in order for you to pay attention to your desires, passion and purpose.

This group is probably the largest, it has a huge following because people are always searching for who they are, why were they born and in the process they get it. You may also belong to this group, you are constantly chasing for who you are, you love a lot of things so you are not sure what exactly you should do in life. The worst thing is that some are great at a lot of things and so it makes it even more difficult to identify your purpose. Every time you think you have found it you find something else that you love more and enjoy and you get frustrated and confused. Well, it’s never too late, keep plugging, the light bulb moment is coming soon.

Of course I would be ignorant if I do not mention that you will face obstacles too, everyone does in life. The difference between those who make it and those who don’t is consistency. Those who have true passion remain committed to the cause and keep plugging away, they never give up and keep going no matter what. You can never find your purpose by running away from thinking about it. The first thing is to search for it, it may take time but if you really want to know it will all come full circle and you will connect with your purpose.

The third group is really one that touches my heart, it is the reason I decided to stand up and live my dream as an Influencer. Sad to say but some may people will struggle to even know what their purpose in life, some die having gone through life with no idea why they were born. I have friends who bug me to tell them what they should do to get to know their purpose. I am a stubborn guy, well let me qualify that statement, I am stubborn when it comes to getting solutions and staying focused. Once I start working on something, at times there is no option B, I start with the destination then work backwards to get the path I am supposed to use. There is no one method or style to get answers, there is always a way for anyone who wants to find their purpose. Yes, at times it will take 10 years, 20years or even longer but as long as you can stay at it, find it, you can live and enjoy it.

Live your purpose, enjoy life, that is the motto I want you to have in life. I am always willing to work with anyone who is serious about their purpose, who wants to live for more than work, sleep and food. Email, text or call, I want you to enjoy the best of life and that starts with knowing your purpose in life.

Know it, live it, love it.

  1. I think everything published made a bunch of sense.
But, what about this? what if you wrote a catchier post title?
I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your
website, however what if you added a post title
to maybe get a person’s attention? I mean Know it, live it, love
it | Isaac Madengu is a little plain. You might peek at Yahoo’s front
page and see how they write news headlines to get people interested.

You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab
readers excited about what you’ve got to say.
Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little bit more
    interesting.

  2. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, but I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers
made good content as you did, the web will probably be
a lot more helpful than ever before.

Great article. It is always amazing to find someone in the first group guiding the third group to their purpose. Good luck!
