Servant leadership

Consider this, a well trained professional team can fail to produce results because they feel misunderstood.

A great leader is not one that can produce great results by cracking the whip but one that can lead by influence.

What does leading by influence mean? It means that you can set an agenda, show how things can be done and and then have your team follow suit without your force or push but just by your example.

The ability to do what you are asking your team without taking over and being able to help them out when they need you is a key that will unlock your teams potential. Teams respect leaders who understand their challenges and will always work harder without prompting.

Servant leadership does not mean being a doormat for the team, it does mean that as much as you can serve and help the team out, you still lead and give guidance. You just have to be humble enough for your team to relate to you.
