New Year’s Resolutions

The year is drawing to a close, many are in a mad dash to meet deadlines, many are looking at their accomplishments and a few more looking ahead to what they will do in the new year. The one thing that many will look at doing is making resolutions for the new year, the year has to be different and bring the joy or closure that many seek.

Your mistakes, misgivings, misfortunes or what ever you might call it is not erased by the turn of a clock, new resolutions or the stroke of a pen to change a number for your year. If anything, the new resolution should be to address the mistakes that led you into trouble or perfecting that which worked well so your 2012 can be even better.

Do not join the rush and be quick to make a resolution, sit down, look at the year and ask yourself what you want to accomplish. The best start is what is attainable, week, month, quarterly and so on, set achievable goals that are measurable and real. Have accountable partners, people who have you at heart and want your success, people who will push you to be the best you can be and not belittle you.

A Resolution will not give you success if you do not make an effort to achieve it and work for it. Happy holidays
